Our Philosophy
Colossians 1:15-17
TCEC is committed to a Christian World and Life View which addresses the Origin, Meaning and Purpose of all that God has created. Colossians 1:15-17 is the key reference for explaining the basic structure of what is included in a Christian explanation of Creation.
Basically, the "Little Words" (full of big meaning) of these texts give a good summation of the Important Elements in a Christian World and Life View. The "Little Words" are as follows:
- For in Him all things were created - Christ is the Origin and Point of Reference for all Creation.
- All things are through Him - Christ is the effectual cause of all things.
- All things are for Him - Christ is the Goal of all things.
- He is before all things - Christ is distinct from all that He created.
- In Him all things hold together - Christ is the Unifier of all things.
