Class Information


Various courses will be offered: "How to Change" (counseling), "Applied Church History", "Knowing Your Faith (theology), "Defending Your Faith" (apologetics), "Knowing Your Bible" (hermeneutics).

Each course will be taught by a competent degreed teacher who is well versed in the subject matter. AUBS (Professor Pool), Ravi Zacharias International Ministry, Covenant College.

Text books, syllabi purposes, content and course expectations and tests will be provided by each professor.

Clarification: The content and expectations will be "student friendly." The goal of the content is to aim at an area of thought somewhere between the average "good" Sunday school class and first-year college.

The proposed class schedule is:

  1. October/November 2008 Bill Franklin gives two lectures on:

    2. Dealing with Additions - November 2008
  2. January - March 2009 (2 classes)
    1. Church History and Post-modernism - Dr. Dan Steere
    2. How to Change and Counseling Basics - Bill Franklin
  3. April - June 2009
    1. Attributes of God - Dr. Dan Steere
    2. Apologetics and Biblical Counseling - Bill Franklin
  4. September - November 2009
    1. Church History - Dr. Dan Steere
    2. Know Your Bible (Bible Survey)
    3. Raising Children in the 21st Century
    4. Islam
    5. The Cross in Christianity
A certificate will be awarded to those who successfully complete each course. No degrees will be given, at least in the first two years.

Classes will be held for two (2) hours. The number of weeks will be announced when each class is announced.
